  • Developed initially by Netscape in 1995 for use with HTML pages, JavaScript is now a widely used scripting language supported by the majority of Web browsers and diverse Web tools. A registered trademark of Sun Microsystems, inc., JavaScript works with HTML pages, adding interactive functions that developers can use to create dynamic Web Pages.                                                         A script is nothing more  than a sequence of program instruction called statement. The program step through the statement one at a time and perform whatever the script tells it. The script tend to have simpler rules and require less learning time when compared with programming.                                     JavaScript is built on the concept of objects. Unlike Java, however, JavaScript provides a basic collection of objects for you to work with. While you can easily create new objects and object types whereas the ones provided you by JavaScript give you a great deal of power.
